Hey everyone.

Past few days I've been having a tinker with doing some texture replacers for the architecture in Pathologic, thinking of having a shot at doing some of the faces also.

Any interest in this?

Off-topic, weird question: is there any way I can get Pathologic textures (mostly those for buildings) in printable format? Sorry if I asked this before, I can't remember. I have a weird art project idea.

The texture sizes are pretty small. They can however be got at with mor extractor. They'll be output as .tex files. Rename them to .dds and then convert to the file format you wish you print out.

It would be cool.

These are all at a pretty early stage but they ought to give an idea of the direction that I'm looking in. Pathologic comes across as quite a barren, dry, earthy world so I was always a little puzzled at the amount of granite type rock and colouring present. This is an experiment to give things a more worn and earthy feel to them. Peeling paint, dust blown rock.

The saturation and lightness is going to need tweaking for a better sense of dryness and the vertical masonry details are likely to be gotten rid of but it's a start. :)

Pictures are all in an album. Grass isn't enabled in these shots due to a videocard/game conflict.

I like how it looks so far. It looks more of a Gothic style now.
Do you consider replacing rain texture, and, maybe, adding "wet" surfaces, or more dark ones, when it rains, if it's feasible at all?

I'll be totally honest with you. I haven't a clue how to add a rain effect type shader. If someone else does however it would be wonderful to see :)

I'll have a rumage around and see if I can find a .tex file for the rain if there is one in the files though.

BTW, your screenshots fit my screen perfectly (1920x1200).
Could you upload your UI files for me somewhere?
Thanks!

The UI is the one that's listed on this forum, the 1680x1050 res one. :)

Do you mean this thread - Pathologic 1680x1050 User Interface?
I tried one that The Louis has provided - it didn't work for me.
Have you altered it somehow?

Sorry for the offtop. There's no option to hide text on the forum.

Haven't made any changes to it no. I'm guessing that the images from the texture replacer that I posted are being stretched on your monitor as I'm running at 1680x1050.

That's the only thing I can think of that would explain it. :)

Been bumbling round with some Morrowind textures at the moment. I flip between Pathologic and Morrowind depending on what source images I've found.

:D Be due a return to the Pathologic textures soon though!
