I could've sworn I saw a date somewhere that was roughly the end of March, but now I can't find it anywhere. Searched the forumn and some other sites. So, would any devs like to give us a rough (accurate if you can) release date? If it's already been discussed then feel free to just point me to where it is.

Thanks.

IMPORTANT EDIT:

The current release date is October 23rd, 2009. While this game is not released physically in the US, Mamba games DOES ship to the US. Also, they are creating an online portal called Odyssia that will allow you download all of their games. I'm assuming you can use that in any country.

If you pre-order before October 1st, you get FREE shipping. This will make international buyers very happy, so GET WHILE THE GETTIN'S GOOD. The price of the game converts to roughly $34. They're currently working on making their address format for placing orders match the US format, and in the meantime have given this solution:
Quote:
Hi all

My name is Jason Codd, Commercial Director for Mamba Games, publisher of THE VOID! Hope your all doing well.

Firstly apologies for the website not been "yank friendly" we have instructed the web designer to amend this.....

As you have/may not have seen we are giving FREE delivery on pre orders up until 1st October globally! So you will only pay the product price, no shipping!

If you are ordering from the US, we can send you a request for funds, and this will allocate a shipment for you, so you until we get the website sorted, this could be your best bet.....

Best Regards
Jason Codd
The game can be found here: Warning: statue boobies make this semi-NSFW depending on what your job is.

Well, as far as I know, there wasn't any press release neither from Atari nor from Ice-Pick. So I wouldn't count for it to the end of march.

That said, there is still no official release date for the international version, even when we applied Chinese Torture LxR remained silent :(

That's because it's not signed for US yet -- Atari only distributes The Void in Europe.

Is there much hope for a US distribution? I guess I wouldn't mind importing, but I wonder how many other people would be willing.

If you guys didn't mind digital distribution only, I wonder if Steam/Valve wouldn't be a great fit for the game. Also, Stardock and their distribution software Impulse, which seems to be getting more and more successful.

* sign * :)
I've been over this a few times -- they're paying for the modification, so it's OK. No need to get all agressive on Atari. ;)

No aggression here! I was just wondering what the exact situation was and if Atari are paying for the modification and the distribution and marketing of it that's not so bad. It gets the Ice-Pick Lodge name out there right and if it does well then you'll be in a good position for your next game which I'm sure you've already thought about!

May? Well, I guess that frees up a few more dollars I can spend this month on games then. :) Keep on polishing and perfecting and get it to us when it's done. I have no doubt it will be worth The Tension I feel waiting for this game.

I was expecting a US Distribution though. No worries, I'll just import it somehow. Thank You!

Hum... DA:O... I don't know why, but I'm afraid of that game to be honest... I got spoiled by The Witcher moral choises and now all other game all seem like extreme black or extreme white.

We will see how it develops.
