First, find the game in steam folders. Then open
data/fsystems.xml (install Programmer's Notepad, if you want).
This error may occur in case the game doesn't have an access to your Public Documents and cannot work with materials.
Go to \Users\Public\Documents\My Games\Void\Cache and copy the contents. Then create a folder on your disk with the same files.
In fsystems.xml find the following lines:
Code:
<Language Name="English" />
<system name="cache">
<Path>{shdocs}/Cache</Path>
</system>
Shouldn't be too difficult, as these are at the beginning of the file. Type the path to your folder in place of "{shdocs}/Cache".
There are also important paths at the very end:
Code:
<system name="save">
<Path>{documents}/Savegames</Path>
</system>
<system name="log">
<Path>{documents}/LogFiles</Path>
</system>
But there's no reason to touch them right now. You may use "{documents}/Cache" for shaders' cache, by the way. Only don't forget to copy the actual data there, or else the game will compile shaders in real-time. Which causes sudden slowdowns in the game (that is, until you encounter every possible material under every possible combination of types of light sources)
