Hello everyone,

At some point someone had to ask this question. Maybe I'm a little bit to rushed but I was curious if Ice-Pick Lodge has any plans for a new game. Someone from IPL leading said in an interview that they consider even a remake of Pathologic.
Is there any running project? And, if not secret, could we have a brief description of how should it look like?

Thank you.

Well, what was said is:

1) Yes they are going to do something new serious game
2) Nothing is known about that game

So we live with that at this point.

I've been meaning to ask this for ages :) I know the chance to actually get a reply is slim, but I'm just posting to say that I'm definitely looking forward to the next IPL game and any inside information about it whatsoever. There is interest in this so please please, make it happen soon!

Yeah, I think I would even pre-order it, which I usually never do, but I think I can definetly make an exception in this case! Is it possible that you're turning on of the ideas that you mentioned in the RockPaperShotgun interview into reality? That would be really amazing :D

I'm excited about a game that doesn't even exist yet, and those things take years to make! :x

I can't wait either.

Edit: From the rock paper shotgun interview, possible ideas:
Quote:
Many concept ideas are wandering in my head, concepts which will hopefully someday be brought to life — maybe a story of a crashed ship with the people you managed to help escape stranded on an uninhabited island (would really like to have A Silver Mt. Zion’s “Mountains Made Of Steam” as part of the soundtrack for this one); or a game about an expedition into the unknown, where one has to keep in mind that his initial resources are the only ones he’ll ever have; or a lyrical fairy tale about a girl who wakes up in a frozen deserted city and realizes that there’s a strange being somewhere here — this one I’ve thought of with my best friend and the one behind the modeling in Tension / The Void, Alexander Jukov.

One more vote for gog here. Why aren't all IPL games there already? I love that place.

Hopefully one day. That would be awesome.

As regards the next game: I think we're just gonna have to wait for a statement from IPL. Historically, I don't believe they've announced anything until it's quite far along.

They told that it's yet too early to tell about the new game. But, when the time comes, they will do that.

This, along with the December release date, make me think that Ice-Pick lodge are simply testing the Kickstarter waters with Knock-Knock. And have succeeded amazingly. 50% in 3 days is pretty damn good. Can't wait to see whatever "The Vital Word" and "Frost" are!

I hope not. A sequel would ruin it.

I don't know - a remake of The Void with larger maps (more wandering/immersion) and expanded dialogue (closer to the Russian original) would be something I'd back.

I also always thought - why a dying artist when you could be in the mind of a manic depressive?? Can you balance the flow of colours between periods of famine and periods of excess? It'd be interesting as a game dynamic.
