Hi Again,

I am now stuck on Klara's first quest of the day 'Angel of Death'. I have played it using the walkthrough a number of times, but I must be doing something wrong.

If I go to speak with Eve when I leave she is supposed to take away all my items except medicines and weapons, but this doesn't happen, she doesn't take anything.

After speaking to the Bachelor and then being taken to the first floor of the 'Slough' the walkthrough says I will be locked in until morning, but every time I have played this quest the door remains locked.

I must be missing something and probably being an idiot.
Can someone please help me?
Thank you
Penny.

Hello again, Penny!

Considering, how badly Klara is translated to English, I think it's not your fault. ) I'd actually recommend not playing through her scenario, as it's almost unintelligible in places. If not... Well, try making rounds to visit all the possible characters involved. There should be enough time. Sorry if it's not much of help, but I don't remember the situation clearly. I'll check it in the morning. ;)

Hie!
I see you're doing it fast! :)
Morning day 6 your father tells you to check on Julia and Eve is the key, right? You also have the letter from your sister which hints where to look for her. The better way to live through this dreadful day is to deal with the sister first, before talking to Alexander. (I don't go in for details in order not to spoil the story for you) Eve is not taking anything, she just says that talking to Julia now wouldn't be easy because everybody considers you VERY BAD, and everybody's after you ((( Julia advizes you to look for the Bachelor and claim your innocence, he is either at Laura's or at Anna's place.

P.S. If you don't want to go to Eve's infected district, you might just go to Julia's mansion from "home sweet home"((

Hi,
Once again, thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I shall try again using your advice, I know the translation of the walkthrough isn't very good, but I have got to day 6 and it would be a great shame if I couldn't finish.
All help is gratefully received.
Thank you.
Penny.

So have you now finished the game with both the male characters? Briefly, what do you think of Pathologic (I mean, I'm guessing you like it, but...) ? What made it grab your attention?

By the way, you said earlier that you don't really play videogames, so I'm impressed that you stuck with this one. It's actually much more difficult and harder to get into than your average game :)

All the best, and good luck!

Hi hydra9

I did manage to sort the problem with the 'Quest Of The Day', you need to complete all tasks/quests first before going to speak to the Bachelor, as when he locks you in he keeps you there until the next day,(one minute passed midnight). I have to admit that when leaving the house I had a problem with my reputation being so low and found it impossible to increase it without being killed, so I did use the God Mode.

I have finished both the male characters and I am now on day 10 of the Devotress. I have enjoyed the game because having completed the quests I feel that I have achieved something, also when killing is involved you gain things, it is not just about killing. I also like murder mystery type books so perhaps this is also why I have enjoyed the game, it is a puzzle, you have to solve things.

I have had to use the walkthrough, but this hasn't taken away the enjoyment for me because the game still makes you think and have to work things out and manage your health, infection etc. I know the game is not easy and even using the walkthrough I have at times had to replay things many times to get it right. Using the forum has been valuable when I just haven't been able to sort things out. Also whilst I am not good at games I am the sort of person that when I start something I have to see it through to the end.

The Bachelor I found the most difficult and challenging, but that is probably because he was my first character, so everything was new.

Thanks and Best Wishes,
Penny.

Thanks. Glad you're enjoying it. One last question: What do you think of the English translation, when playing as the Devotress? Is it noticeably worse than the other two characters?

You are right, the translation is very poor for the Devotress. The text is probably a literal translation, so if you understand that you know what the walkthrough is trying to say. In fact the Devotress text has made me smile, I understand what it is saying, but at times the words used are so inappropriate that they are funny.
I am now on day 11, so the translation can't be that bad.
I feel a bit sad that I am now at the end, I think that I will miss the game, it has been very absorbing. My Son has bought me another game "The Witcher", so I will have to see how I get on with that game, although I don't expect there will be a helpful forum!!
Best Wishes.

Great game The Witcher, you will have fun with it.

If you liked Pathologic that much, then keep your eyes open for Tension ;)
