i've got a feeling this may have been asked a bunch of times by others

i started up a game - mostly just getting a feel for it before i get into it really seriously, but i really love what i've seen so far.

but, anyway, i decided to wander around a little bit - particularly was curious about the areas out of town, and why, on the map, what looked like one of the boxcars was coloured red...

so i eventually wandered over to the cars. in one, a little girl who i didnt want to talk to yet. in another... rifles! lots of rifles!

but i couldnt seem to take any

erm, i dont suppose *ahem* there's something i could do that would let me pick up one (or two or three or etc) of them?

Sadly you can't just pick them up I know you should be able to, but...

Actually, there is a quest during the Bachelor's part of the game that involves that boxcar. But that's the only time you can grab them.

well, no worries! at least i know i'll be grabbing one from there later - it looked too conspicuous, figured a quest might be bringing me back eventually anyway.

and i wasnt totally sure how good it would be for me (as a gameplay consideration, that is) to get a rifle *that* early, anyway. but, the hoarder inside me said other things

You can get a rifle early... but you will need to show some green to get one (Green=Money) I have only got to day 5 and I have not had many reasons to grab one to be honest
