I'm on day 7 of the Bachelor and Kapella (or whatever Big Vlad's daughter's name is) seems to be sick. There's an executor outside of her room, and I gave him some kind of medicine that the Bachelor said will let her live another day. It wasn't a powder.

Do I need to give her a powder, or do I save them for later? And if I didn't give her the powder, am I now screwed? Thanks.

Keep the powders and panacea for the last day - you will really need them).

So would she have died if I didn't notice that executor and done something that day? Because I only happened by her on chance.

I have another question for a day 7 quest. I'm using the walkthrough since the translation can be bad to figure out what to do, and I can't figure out how to start the Mask and Overall quest. I got a letter from Burakh telling me to find an executor's mask and costume, and to not give it to the devotress. He also said the theater might know something about it. Keep in mind that I've already done the quest of the day.

So I go over to the theater and talk to Mark, and there's no dialogue option for this quest. The walkthrough says I get the overall on a body near the pit near the cemetery. No body there. Is this a bug, or am I forgetting a first step?

thanks again

Sick Adherents won't usually die if you supply them with antibiotics daily — it's a good means for keeping them alive until the end of game, when you'll need the powders and panaceas. (Possible, for healing the same adherents, that you're talking about.) That's why also try to have 10 needles on you all the time, as little girls may very rarely carry powders randomly and infinitely. :)

You can't start the quest if you already finished the quest of the day

It can only be started after collecting the reports and giving them to the Inquisitor but before you find out who's the traitor. The reward of that quest (executor outfit) is meant to help you find out the traitor and the game thinks the quest is unnecessary if you already did that

Sorry if I'm ressurrecting an old thread and it's against the forum rules, but I have the same question as the OP: if you don't visit people daily, can they die without you even knowing? I would like to keep everyone's adherents alive to the end, but that seems almost impossible if I have to check on them all daily. Also, do they "live to see another day" only with monomycinum, or would the other antibiotics work as well?

Usually they don't just die. Give antibiotics (only neomycinum is not accepted by the beakheads, the rest of them are) to those you need to talk to. There's no need to check on all Adherents every day. Just make sure they are all in good health on the last day.

Yeah, I was just testing this - it appears that the antibiotics are only needed if you want to talk to a sick character as part of your quest. Only a few characters can die permanently as a result of plot decisions and the game is rather forgiving even here. So it appears you can finish the game without replaying from day six (or whenever you failed a day quest). This assumes, of course, that you follow around little girls looking to trade ten needles for a powder (etc.)

Adherent question, somewhat related. I'm almost done with day 8, and the walkthrough says that Young Vlad is an adherent, even though he's not on my adherent list =/ I talked to Big Vlad after young vlad so does that mean Big vlad will have given himself up instead? Or is it the first one you talk to?

It's just frustrating because if I can't complete the game because Young Vlad wasn't listed as an adherent on my list but really is one then I'd be pretty annoyed >=(

Oy... I get the feeling might've said something that got Petr killed. What are you supposed to tell him after he gives you the blue prints for the polyhedron? Also the "due to your timely efforts" speech. Is that ALWAYS the same, or if you've messed up will it tell you so?

I'm not sure I could take playing the past few days over again heh...

If you've messed up, at the end of the day you'll get George scolding you instead of Alex praising you.

I believe you tell Mother Keeper your decision. IIRC, it doesn't matter which one you give up. I chose Young Vlad and could still find him with Mother Keeper.

The game isn't THAT mean. If he's not on your list, your fine. If one of your adherents becomes ill, ruining your chances for the ending, their image will appear as static on your list.

I don't remember the dialog options for Peter, but I do remember that his death does not ruin your ending. (Because I killed him by accident as well...)

@Sparrowsabre7: When I talked to Peter about the Polyhedron prints, somehow my last dialogue line (no other options left) was something along the lines of "Fine, go ahead and die if you want to" even though that was totally not what I wanted to tell him. He was nowhere to be found on Day 12, but I could complete the game and get the good Bachelor ending despite of this. I still don't know what I did wrong, but I heard it might be a bug. I think you shouldn't worry.

@djkid: Who is this Alex you speak of?

Alexander Saburov

Sorry, I shorten his name out of habit

Well I'll be! I never realised that was *his* voice. I don't even understand why they used it there. Voice actors shortage, or is it really Saburov speaking?

Excellent question. Shortage, I presume.

I think it's George's voice actor that does most of the narration (such as the opening scenes) as well, but I could be entirely wrong.
I don't think I ever deciphered all of the voices that play before the closing pantomimes. Alexander, George... and it feels like I should say Vlad but that voice is certainly not his.

I've been thinking about those as well. As far as I can tell, there are four voices, three male and one female. I think they stand for different characters, depending on the dialogue. You can usually tell who is who based on what they say, and you have the 3 main characters, a narrator, and I think, at some point, the Inquisitor and General. It's pretty confusing.
