Ok I'm currently on cycle 21, have 16 hearts and plenty of colour. The problem is a total lack of "what should I be doing". I had a peek through the walkthrough and pretty much without looking too far it seems all I have left to do is kill the brothers so that I can claim all their hearts. Is this the case? I killed the parasites a while ago. Directions?

You can just sit tight trying to survice and try to open more sister hearts. Eventually the brothers will let you know what to do

dude how did u manage to xD i'm almost in cycle 25 and can't kill worm yet... and i don't have a lot of color... only 1 of my gardens is still producing good amounts... ole's garden T_T

if you're having trouble with the worm, this thread has some helpful strategies.
Also remember that you can leave and come back and the worm will still be damaged from last time.

Yeah I finished the parasites a while ago and was basically waiting. Well thanks Throdax, I'll just grow the garden next to The Wall for a bit longer (can't remember the name but certainly the best ). I sort of assumed that all I had left was to collect 21 hearts and ascend
Oh... I found Worm was the easiest to kill... I had a lot of violet, emerald and crimson nerva. I also filled my hearts to 100% with crimson and gold and put some azure in to run faster. Not sure if the crimson works when you use glyphs and the gold may indeed do nothing either. I find when I fill my hearts with gold I seem to get lucky but it may be psychological... Anyway simply enter his realm, run up to the first predator and put a web glyph on it (before it gets eaten). The glyph costs ten nerva per use, I didn't "charge it" or anything, I've never noticed any difference . Worm will always eat this one when you enter his realm. Wait until he finishes eating, gets hit with the glyph and re-enter the void. Go straight back into his realm and repeat. Took a while, he take about 30ish web glyphs. Still it took less than a cycle. I used violet first, then emerald then crimson nerva for the glyph. I guess any colour would do really, I just had lots of those.

That is where the russian version as a lot harder.

Each time you exited a chamber time would move forward by 5 units of a cycle, or even more if The Void was full of Azure., 5 time units in which you couldn't do anything

You see, in the Russian version (I mean, the one published in 2008) the game crashed when you killed Worm, so it wasn't that different:). Also, AFAIR, in that version you could do much damage just by drawing offensive glyphs. In the new release offensive glyphs do much less damage to the giants than Web does.
