I recently installed the Total Commander VFS plugin, and for read purposes it works just fine. But if I edit an XML file inside a VFS file and then attempt to save and repack it, I receive a popup telling me that the function is not supported. How can I fix this?

I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 if its of any relevance.

You don't need to repack stuff to make it work. Just place the files into a proper folder, like when you're editing Properties.vfs you need to create a game\data\Properties folder with all the contents and move the VFSsomewhere else.

Ha! Yep, that did it. I extracted all the contents of the VFS file to a normal folder structure, made my changes, and moved the VFS file somewhere else. I guess the game searches for a VFS file first and then for a directory structure if no VFS file is found. Thanks. =)

(p.s: So long, frustrating flower petals. ;p )

Edit: Actually, I did some experimenting and it turns out I got it backwards. The game actually searches for a normal directory structure FIRST, then for a VFS file if no directory is found. So for example I could create C:\Steam\steamapps\common\the void\data\Properties\World\girl.xml. The game will use my copy of girl.xml, but then will read from the VFS file for everything else. No need to move the VFS file.

Right. First, the game looks for the file. Then, if no such file exists, the game tries to find one inside the corresponding VFS archive (Virtual File System).

Hi, Which VFS-Plugin works correctly. I only find one that doesn't work?!

Can you give me link, where I can find the correct working VFS-plugin?

Thanks :)
