When I revisit Ole she turns her head towards me, opens her mount as if to speak and then it makes snap, and her head is back in starting position. For the rest of the day she will just watch the leafes drop down and so must I, because I can't leave the screen either, nor will loading change the outcome.

And also there is something going on with game loading too. I didn't kill the Panglion, had to fight the guard and failed. Yet I wished to try again, loaded autosave and was going to fight again. Instead this time I was applaused for my defeat of the panglion (which I never defeated) and asked to kill another 2 (which I havent found yet either.). This also happend with the first Quest where I have to open the Mines. Didn't dry them completely, failed, loaded, tada I did it. Had to restart game because this really confused me.

But still I like the game, eventhough it's confusing (or because of it...)

Well, unless a lot changed, it is more hard to have to restart The Void from scratch unless you really screw up on the colour managment or get yourself in a position where you can't and must kill a Brother :)


As for Ole, I can't help much since she changed a lot of the Russian version. :(


@LxR, what is this about quests? :shock:

Looks suspicious, too many bugs I've never seen. Could you please provide game's game.log from My Documents/My Games/Turgor/ (well, it may be Tension or TheVoid, I don't know for sure) next time you encounter something like this?
Caution: game.log is rewritten each time you launch the game, thus if you restarted it after all theese bugs, the contents will be inept.

You might find it suspicious, but consider what it's like for me then. Since the void is unusually anway, I'm having a tought time to tell wether it's a bug or just the way it should be. I mean if there was a game where loading doesn't mean simply restoring an old gameplay point to 100% it would be the void anyway, but all in all I'm really confused by now.

It was \Eigene Dateien\My Games\Void\LogFiles\ actually and I have what you asked for.
It's a zip file with 3 files:

autosave1.sav - Safe File where the character is located in Oles chamber, ready to go in, listen to a mystic voice telling him how much it hates ceilings, and ready to klick on Ole, which in my case only looks at me, snaps back and stares off into the distance for the rest of our lives or until I terminate the game.

Crash Ole.log - The Logfile where I loaded autosave1.sav, went to Ole and terminated after looking at her animation for a minute or two.

Session 1.log - The last log I played, where I dropped Ole and went on to discover the other areas. The funny thing that happened here was, I had to fight one of the brothers (the driller Guy), lost and instead of a game over screen I was back on the map with just some Silver lymbha and nerva (I haven't found any silver ingame yet ever). Since noone told me why I was saved from eternal death I belive this is a bug or part of it as well.

If you can, also check the 3 Monsters in autosave1.sav. As I mentioned I never killed any one of them, and never found the other two anyway, with all chambers but the last ones topmost left visited.

Maybe I should also add, that I already had all Brothers ingame, but on some point all but 2 vanished from the map (possibly after loading a game) and were added later on again, with their intros played again too. Maybe thats intended, but maybe it isn't.

Hope you can help and settle my confusion, apart from that I really like the game. And I don't say that just because of the good looking almost naked (please input link to uncensor patch here, thanks (or was the original game censored as well?)) girls!

I'm also encountering this issue. Basically only the first visit with Ole works because after that she, like the OP says, goes to talk to you but glitches out of it and just sits there. I then have no choice but to use Task Manager to close the game. How important is Ole to the completion of the game? I can save my 'one' visit for when I have a lot of her colour if that would be sufficient, I really don't want to have to restart.

I had the same issue with Ole, so I avoided her for some time. After a few cycles I went back to her and the bug was gone.

Same problem here. [CAUTION: Possible spoilers ahead]

I went to Ole through Ima's chamber, went through the first talk animation, filled her first heart, then the second talk animation started and the last thing I can remember was a zoom in on her face and a line of text "won't you tell me? you can't? pity." or something similar. Then it switched to a zoomed out camera again, she turned her head towards me and for a second and it looked like she's about to say something and then her head just snapped to the previous position, looking sideways. The game didn't freeze, and by that I mean she was still moving slightly and the leaves were falling all around, but there was nothing I could click on, and none of the keys did anything, not even the esc key. I'm not really sure about all the details up to the "head snapping" point since it was some time ago, in the meantime I alt-tabbed out of the game, googled around, and eventually stumbled upon this forum. After leaving the game alone I hoped she would snap out of it, but eventually had to end the game with alt+F4.

I attached a zip file containing the "game.log" file (I didn't start the game again so I guess it's the one you might need). Here are the last few lines from it:

Also, some specifics about the gameplay so far (as much as I can remember):
I'm at cycle 22. I have gathered 12 hearts so far. I have opened all of the sisters' chambers except the top left one and Ole, as I just gained access to Ole's main room through Ima's chambers. Of all the big monsters, I only killed the Pangolin so far. I haven't fought any of the brothers yet, the nameless sister died, I already chased the silouhette of a woman on the roof. I met the two sisters that seem to appear randomly, the one with the fan and, more recently, the one surrounded with black smoke. I filled the first heart of the first one and killed the second one with a vampire glyph. Not sure if all of this helps, but maybe you'll be able to localize the problem better.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. :)

In the meantime, I'll reload an earlier save, and redo some things I wanted to do in a different way anyway. ;)

It eventually worked out for me like it did for Malleus. I just went back to her now and then and at one point it worked.
