Tenga Toppen Gurren Lagann? It's a moderately old anime where the hero uses a huge drill as his weapon. For some reason, the drill guy reminded me of a larger version of the little Lagann.

Anyways, great game. I'd love to see the art directors for this game go on to make some survival horror. The Hellraiser-esque Brother designs were VERY well modeled, and the sick and twisted realms were also a pretty good mindfreak. I know those little worm things that hop around scared the living hell out of me just by having the potential of being in the same area as me.

Great game, and I hope to see some more fleshed out eventually from these guys.

Wow, and now I feel old.
Maybe it seems that The Void is a new game, but it is not. The first release was more than a year and a half ago. As for the development itself, it started as early as in the beginning of 2006, so that by the time Gurren Lagann was aired, the game was announced. And more than a half of it was completed. So Gurren Lagann and The Void are both 'moderately old'. In a sense ^_^ It is an amazing thing, actually, as some of the areas you are going to see in the second half of the game, were made more than three years ago, and were never changed significantly after that.

I cannot recommend you on our games, as we have only made two. Or maybe almost two and a half, but hardly any more. If you would like to know the tastes of the development team, it's different matter. Probably, playing Psychonauts, Zeno Clash and Shadow of the Colossus might be advised, but I believe it depends on your tastes. There was some information in our interviews: a few people liked Silent Hill, Nikolai loved True Love and so on.

See, that's why I is a dumbass. A friend of mine told me Gurren Lagann aired back in 1995 or something. I should have known better that the art style was too advanced to be from that era. So Gurren Lagann isn't old at all, and neither is The Void, apparently.

Yeah, I was hoping that after I killed that Brother, I'd get some kind of drill power just for the excuse of yelling "GIGA DRILL BREAKER!"

And yeah, I loved the Silent Hill series. Psychonauts and Shadow of the Colossus were amazing.

You all are some crazy developers coming up with this. It's like Rainbow Bright from Hell. It's also one of the most clever "FPS" games I've seen in awhile.
