I still having problems making donor gliffs. I get them right about 70% of the time, but the times I don't can really ruin my day. So what exactly is looked at when making the gliff? Is it the size of the loop, or the height/length of the tails. I really want to get the gliff down so that it doesn't piss me off any longer. Any tips that have worked for any of you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Figured it out. THE best way to do a donor gliff is by drawing a goldfish, with a really long tail, just like when you were in kindergarten (I surely hope that I'm not the only one that drew fish in Kindergarten, so that I don't sound like a lunatic). Small loop (for the fish's body) and two long tails (for the, um well, tail). Works 100% of the time, thus far. The method that the game demonstrates is totally off, which is big loop, medium tails, more like the Jesus fish (the fish symbols on some car's back bumpers).

So think, wee little fish (though make sure there is a loop), very long tail. Hope that helps if anyone out there is still having problems with the donor gliff; it sure worked wonders for me. Yay!! No more resetting for the much dreaded, "you should have drawn the donor gliff" message.

I wonder why so many people have difficulties with the donor glyph.

I've never had any one single time.

I was having trouble because I was trying to exactly emulate the way the demo video drew it (the one that plays when you approach your first tree). The demo shows a very large loop with medium-small tails. Even the shape that is displayed at the bottom of the screen when in the trees "soul" (or whatever the true technical term is for the mode you enter after you touch a tree with a drop of color) is not a very accurate image of what kind of shape is readily accepted. The game doesn't seem to recognize this method very well. But now I draw the gliff making a much smaller loop with much longer tails and it works every time (at least thus far).

For anyone else out there that is still having trouble with the supposed "easiest symbol in the game", there is a very good chart posted by Halfgild Wynac in the Steam forums that shows a number of accepted shapes, and an additional YouTubeb demonstrationon video to boot. Hi, what worked for me was to make the donor glyph realy high...
What i mean with this is to start pretty high on the screen and make the tails long and with the tips facing up and down

To me it works 100% of the time, at first i had some problems because i wanted to draw it over the tree, but then i realized i doesn't matter, just do it in the center of it.
