Hi again
I have a big problem with my German The Void. The game gets stuck every 10 seconds for about 1 second. But a few month ago void was running perfectly on the same computer. The only difference is the OS: before: vista - now: win 7. Any ideas?
I tried to install the newest graphics driver already.

Which version of Win7 are you running?
Have you tried lowering all the graphics settings for Void?

Win7 is more memory demanding than Vista, and The Void is a rather demanding game.

Check your "Documents/My Games/Void/Cache" folder. It should store about 80 or 90 MB of precomputed shaders library. If it does not, then the game is compiling them real-time when you see new shaders in the game. I do not know other reasons for such lags... Ah, and if that's the reason then the game will not get stuck in the same level until you reinstall it. So in this case you mostly have lags in new maps.
However, if the game just stucks everywhere (even after you walked around the place for several minutes) it's unlikely that the shaders are the issue. Probably, there is some problem with your settings.

@Halfgild Wynac: You're right. There is no cache folder. The game log says: "<Warning> virtual filesystem "cache" not mounted, reason: can't open file "C:\Users\Public\Documents\My Games\Void\Cache.vfs"" and "<Warning> virtual filesystem "save" not mounted, reason: can't open file "C:\Users\ccb\Documents\My Games\Void\Savegames.vfs"" and "<Warning> virtual filesystem "log" not mounted, reason: can't open file "C:\Users\ccb\Documents\My Games\Void\LogFiles.vfs""
The files mentioned in the game log doesn't exist.
What to do? I have reinstalled the game already.

It is OK. The game doesn't use resource packs for cache and savegames. It simply creates files in the folders (in \Documents\My Games\Void\). Shaders cache is a problem, though, because you are going to experience performance issues though the game. Basically, each time you see a new material . Most surfaces have some standard shader that uses a texture, a bump map and specular highlights. However, other shaders are less frequently encountered, and you may run into them pretty far into the game.
