*** SPOILER ALERT ***

Hello,

I've just finished playing the Void. The game is awesome in many regards (and I recommended it to my friends), but I find the endings a bit puzzling (as well as anticlimactic). Maybe this is because I find it really hard to understand the final poems without the subtitles, is the text available somewhere?

The different categories of endings seem to be (ordered by difficulty):
- you are still in the Void on day 36 and become its new keeper (a sort of game over)
- you reach turgor and ascend in the adit
- you reach turgor, fill the 4 hearts of a Sister and make her ascend
- you reach turgor, revive the nameless Sister (by drawing Breakthrough on her tree), enter turgor again and make her ascend

What puzzles me is that:
- there does not seem to be much difference between the self-ascend and the sister ascends (even the nameless)
- there are hints during the game that only one Sister is "the good one" and that we should not make a mistake when choosing the one. I also think Aya suggests that "the good one" is dead, hence it should be the nameless Sister (which already sounded like the good choice given her sacrifice). Then why does her ending not feel more rewarding?

I would be glad to hear what others have to say about the different endings.

in the original Russian version turgor you could ascend together with a sister.

I'm puzzled about the 'right sister' as well. There doesn't seem to be much difference between ascending the various sisters.

Also, I'm pretty sure one sister was talking about 'saving two sisters with one colour in common'. I'm not sure what this was supposed to mean or eventuate in (were the two sisters designated, or do you just choose two? and why two?) I just ended up killing all the brothers, and choosing one sister to ascend.

I didn't even know you could revive Sister Death until I read your post :P Thanks!

There is a 'right' sister. But just as 'Right' and 'Wrong' in real life, its all in your head. The difference between ascending yourself or a sister is the same: Do you want to make one person happy(you) or make the entire world a better place?

Many argue that The Nameless Sister is the 'right' one, but some argue that resurrecting her is 'wrong' because it ruins her act(s) of selfishness.

That said, I think the actual ending is the weakest part of The Void. The choice thing is brilliant, but the poems themselves are a bit lackluster.

I'm glad they removed that. It cheapens the choice of ending and therefore the game itself.
