I'm very early on in the game. The brothers just appeared, and I was told I needed to rip out Sister Death's heart. Before going to her, I went to the Pangolin reservation, since I was in the area. I made a mad dash for the heart and suffered being gnawed on, but hey! I got a heart! It gave me the Torch glyph.

Then, I went to Sister Death, who ripped out her heart and gave it to me. It got me... the Torch glyph?! I checked, and I only have one new heart, not two. What happened to the other one? Should I reload an earlier save? And, I guess, get the Pangolin heart later? Which glyph is it supposed to be?

Most glyphs found in chambers are randomized, it's possible to find a glyph that you get later as a set quest reward. You don't have to reload, there are more glyphs available in the game than the maximum amount of hearts, so it doesn't break anything.
