I was playing this game a few days ago (bought from the Steam sale), and it looked lovely, all the settings worked as expected. However, I since updated my video driver (ATI 4650) for another game. Now when I load this up, although the menu and cutscene appear to be the right resolution, the game itself isn't. It doesn't matter what I put in the configuration utility, the game is at a very low resolution.

I tried putting a file called rcfg.xml in the Data folder and putting my resolution in that way, which was a fix for another resolution problem, but it didn't help. I tried deleting the game and reinstalling, and that didn't help either.

It's like the game is ignoring the settings altogether, and playing at like 800x600 with AA and AF off. Except the menus and things at the beginning.

It doesn't make any sense. When I'm on the Soul Obscura screen, my body is is at the right resolution, but it looks like the heart is at a much lower one. The Void map is also at the low resolution.

How can some of the game be at the right resolution, and most not?

Please help. This game was beautiful.

Send me your dxdiag (start > run > dxdiag > save all info) to thelxr@ice-pick.com , I'll see what we can do.

Go to the Cataclyst Control Center ---> 3D ---> Mipmap and set it High Quality, had this problem earlier and I'm quite sure this is the solution :)

It worked! Thank you! :D

I'm a bit confused, though. I'm fairly certain I had it set to low before I installed the new driver (because it never seemed to have much effect).

Even if I'm wrong, and it wasn't, why did it not affect other games in the same way? For instance, I was playing Stalker: CoP both before and after, and I didn't notice a change. Certainly not a change as extreme.

Cataclyst Control Center can be tricky at times, it's best to set the stuff to high unless it has option to set the control for the application
