the nameless sister said, the Guardians are blind. She even warns you, to not let them touch you or they will find out that you are not one of them.

So... if they're blind, what is the color for them?
Obviously the Color has a mind and can speak to you (it IS the Color, speaking to you all the time, or? It's every time the same Voice Actor in German) but it is also said, that the Guardians can't hear its voice and everything who is able to do that must be evil.

It seems that the Guardians neither can see the color, nor hear its voice.
I'm asking myself... why on earth do they pray to it? What means the color for them? Probably they can't possibly know what the color really is. Well... what is the color anyway?

I get the impression they aren't blind "blind" as they can see you in the battles.


Colour to them is like a religion, a God, and they pray to it for strengh and protection

They are blind, at least they say themselves to be so. It's one of their reasons for not trusting you, I think one of them even says "He is not a brother, I sense that he can see" or something like that. I think it's the same in battle they are able to sense you because there is color inside you.

The parallels with religion are a lot, and blind can be applied to more things than simple eyesight.

I think it's pretty strongly suggested that the Brothers are very blind, in the blind sense of the word blind. Most of them don't have eyes in their sockets and a few don't even have proper heads. Nearly every conversation with or about them draws a contrast between the Brothers who can speak but are blind, and the player who can see but is mute. Remember how pissed the Brothers get when they figure out you aren't silent but actually mute?
