For the second time playing an Ice Pick game I've been punched in the gut and had my lunch money stolen.

The first time was in Pathologic when the dancer who the hunchback had 'adopted' was killed. Because I'd arranged to meet her and then Burakh in the same place, I felt that I'd been directly responsible for her death. Even though she would've died anyway this was the first time I really had a feeling of "****...this is my fault" about a character's death.

And now it's happened again. The Nameless sister's just died and I have no idea how it happened, but I'm assuming through my rash use of colour (which I previously hadn't cared about, what's a few more predators really? I'd thought) and over gardening.

Now I don't know if she can be revived or if this is a scripted cutscene (start of Confusion) but it's really hit me again about how deep and far reaching the consequences of the player's actions can be.

Bravo ice pick, bravo.

If someone could let me know what I did to kill her too that would be great. I have no intention of starting from an earlier save, I feel that would cheapen the sacrifice she made and assuage my guilt too easily.

(also will her chambers still work? though her own personal one is closed?)

You didn't do anything

Nameless Sister always dies at that point in the game. It is scripted.

I'd rather explain, that it's her own sarcffice, and her own will, rather thatn just say it's scripted. :) You can revive her later, but only as a memento - if you do that, you'll probably be doomed yourself. I suggest you don't try that until a second walkthrough.

Still, the game does a good job of making you feel responsible :P Especially when you return to her realm for her last monologue
