I just downloaded Pathologic through Amazon without any difficulty, but I have an error message stating that the game will run without sound. I checked the game files and I do have the OpenAL32.dll file in the Final file with the config and game applications. I am running the game on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit os; there are no problems with rendering. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the file is enough, you need to have OpenAL installed on your system. Get it here (click oalinst): http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/ ... Items.aspx
