I would like to thank you, the developers of Pathologic, for this astounding game!
It's the first time in 2 years, a game has caused me to skip lotsof classes just to find out, what will happen next!

I would like to say more, but can't express my feeling in words... I'll be back. :)

Me, too! Sometimes the amount of walking I do is aggravating, but I try to use my walks to pick up (trade) stuff with the locals and some times kill baddies and take their goodies.

Yea i love this game...Certainly a great adventure....I seem to have strange dreams every night after playing this for a few hours...but hell, I love strange dreams, i usually remember them every night, so it makes it even better for me.

I was reading somewhere that this is a Prototype game, so later on i'm sure there will be alot of improvements (not that none are needed) in a new game using the same sort of engine,

There is a game similar to this that was released in 1995 called "Sentient" where you are on a spacestation which is inflicted with certain doom, and you have to save it. The speech and real-time NPC's actions are similar to Pathologic, and i really enjoyed Sentient. As much as i do Pathologic. So keep up the good work guys.

I'm really enjoying the game; whilst I think there are issues with some of the mechanics and the English translation, it's a long time since I played something with such a powerful atmosphere or sense of place.

Very impressed.

(reminds me a bit of an Amiga game called Mercenary from back in the day, any takers?)

Thanks for your feedback, The english translations are being worked on as we speak, The LxR is the only person who is working on it, so you could imagine the job he has to do, if you have any issues with the game mechanics, could you give some examples please of what problems you may have found....Thanks....

As for Mercenary on the amiga...hehe yea i loved it :) I still have an Amiga in the cupboard and i expect i still have that game...

Yes, thank you very much for producing such an innovative game while you could easily apply a popular formula :)

I wasn't expecting too much of this game. But while some details are below gaming standards, overall experience is so unique that I will not mention these.

Keep up the good work.

PS: and if Amiga games are getting mentioned, I think this game is more like "It came from the Desert" ;)

Hehe, one of the many great things about Pathologic is that it *is* so unique. Sure, it reminds me a *little bit* of Silent Hill (because it takes place in a bleak, cold, mist-shrouded town and is somewhat creepy), and a little bit of Thief (because you can sneak around, steal things and use lockpicks). It reminds me *slightly* of an ancient RPG called 'The Keys To Maramon' ( http://www.mobygames.com/game/keys-to-maramon ), which also features a small town with an infestation, and a choice of characters who have to work out how to stop that infestation.

But really, there is nothing else like Pathologic.

Planescape Torment somewhat reminds me of Pathologic, mainly due to the dialogs. :) BTW, the Russian version of Pathologic might just take the first place from it, since there are 1200+ pages of text in the game. Planescape features only about 666+ pages, according to Wikipedia. I'm not so sure about how many pages there are in the English version, since it is cut, but 768+ is quite close to the truth.

Well, somewhat - nothing really important is missings - it's just that some unimportant for the gameplay or storyline stuff has been deleted due to some reasons. (Cost of translation, maybe?)

Hi, I have to thank you too. I just finished Pathologic (EN version) for the Bachelor. It has great characters and awesome atmosphere. I am gamer-adventurer in the heart, and these days I don't play much and if so I am forced to play different genres. I won't complain here, I just say the intelligence of dialogs was really neat. The biggest fault of Pathologic is that I can't read it in book version :p. Now I bought the game for myself in my language, so I hope Klara's and Haruspicus' storylines aren't burned by bad translation. I need to discover missing pieces and think more about the ending :).

I'm looking forward to your next project (I hope it will be available in a language I understand) and one main character with faster legs, please :wink:.

Sorry if my post wasn't very clear, I am not English native speaker.

Lots of EU games not getting enough love, mostly due to poor localizations. If that and the AI were polished up, Pathologic would've been a lot better received. It's a very unique game and I'd like to see it remade one day.

This is the most common example of the difference between Russian devs who are full of ideas and low on budget and the U.S. devs with soft brains and ad. overhyped projects. Wanna see Pathologic remade? If you only knew how little money was spent to make it compared to how most western mediocre projects are funded, you'd absolutely love the effort of our developers. I suggest you to look forward to Ice Pick's next project Tension that is going to be released soon in the west.

Well, if whoever owns the rights to Pathologic would contact GoG I think it would be a possibility.

We never know what games they have their eyes on, so it is hard to tell if they targeted Pathologic or not.

So we never know what they have in store for us.

They should fuse, a la Goku and Vegeta, so they can have both hard brains and big budgets.
