Okay first id like to say im really excited to have stumbled upon what looks like a wonderful gem of a game.
I already went through all the forum posts related to technical difficulties... should come in handy.

And now to get to the point:
-im having horrible issues with sight distance while traveling on the street. First i thought its a foggy day in the game, but i saw videos on youtube and its really not the case.
-its really bad, basically i can see about a house-length in front, making it somewhat unplayable but more importantly very unsatisfactory/irritating plus its hard to navigate
-ive tried all kinds of settings in the config (especially detail objects and its distance dial) to no avail. (have the latest drivers, tried compatibility modes...blah,blah)
-this being an old game (w/ lower system requirements) i was also wondering if someone has already moded it to render and display long distance objects.

I dont mind the graphics, they're pretty good actually, the (unintentionally funny) translation is... its own reward :)
but stumbling like blind in the street (houses are good) is probably going to be a show-stopper if i cant get the game to increase the sight distance.

Good people of this forum please help!

I seem to remember someone saying (on these forums) that the sight distance was hard-coded, with no way to change it. I will try to find out for sure, though.

I realise it's annoying you right now, but I hope you might get used to it. After you've been in the town for a while, you'll start to notice all kinds of landmarks that will help you to get your bearings. Plus, the map is very helpful for navigation.

As I said, I'll try to get you a definite answer...
