Oh, thanks for all the spoilers! :) It grows more and more interesting!
And have you seen the scorpions in the garden? What are they like? The Russian folk mentioned those.

-The addit seems a little diferent now :P
-Monsters have change places (Hint: beware of mines)

Try using the following cheat and waiting for a cycle update... "/realm 0 0"

Try reviving trees first, then cheating to 0 0.1 ;)

I've got the game too now. First impression:
Well... I started playing it around noon and emerged from my room sometime later to find out that the authorities have declared me legally dead.

Don't think too much about it. It's a quote from the Zero Punctuation review of Peggle.

Ahh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who watches it. :)

I'm as desperate for the English version as you guys :cry: I'm still glad that Germany gets to play it now, though.

* Article in German
* Google-Translated version

There's an insanely complicated graph on the second page, apparently charting the interest level of the reviewer throughout the game :shock:
I'm an editor from pcgames.de (not the one who reviewed The Void) and I briefly want to explain the insanely complicated graph =] So here we go: When we review a game we give a score (1-10) for each hour of play-time (top-down: score, left-right: gametime). That score represents how much fun the reviewer had in that hour and how motivated he was to play on. Forget about the red-boxes with the numbers 1-5 in it, they just represent screenshots ... in the original article in our print-magazine :D I will translate the grey boxes for you: The first one says "Hard to understand | It takes pretty much time to understand the gameplay-mechanics and the usage of colors. We are a bit frustrated". The second one says "Lenght in Gameplay | Objectives are not comunicated clear enough. We wander around aimless". Ok ... you are right, it's insanley complicated :D

That would be fantastic. He will probably like the originality of the game and Tension/Turgor/The Void/Whateveryoucomeupwithnext gets some publicity.

Wonder how he'll do the Void characters with his usual sprites... :)))

So, according to that graph, it took the reviewer 16 hours to finish the game?

I suppose, the reviewer might not finished the game, though, obviously, got pretty far. When I was playing the final version for the very first time, it took me about 20-25 hours to complete the game. While the goals were pretty specific, and my style of gameplay was (actually) something in betwen the "newbie" approach and that one of a beta-tester, I still believe the time was pretty typical for a player who aims for playing this game to the end.

It is a pity I cannot see the screenshots to be sure just where it all stopped. I think that areas of a somewhat decreased motivation are around 10th cycle, 16th and in 25-27, perhaps. Though, I haven't tried to observe my er.. willingness to keep playing in much detail. Oh, and I am a leveldesigner/modeller/texturer (mostly), and besides that, played this game many times. So the desire to explore the world and find new gardens, girls, reservations and creatures was not there, unfortunately. I may even assume that I couldn't use a big part of actual player's interest in going to some new places in the world, seing new girls, their obscuras and dances, and so on. You explore the world half of the game, after all. I knew all of it way before the release.

Oh, by the way, I watched the gameplay video on pcgames.de. Now, given some particular scenes we can see there, I can say that the reviewer has most likely got to the very end.
