Hello everyone, just got the game and I am new here. Guess like everyone starting this game I am in the process of decoding the mechanics of the game. Am I correct in that time only progress`s when on the map screen? And should I intentionally speed up time to get to the next cycle even at the expense of color loss. It seems like I did everything I could do until I can harvest my garden. So is it wise to speed up time? Thank you.

Not wise early in the game. How many sisters have you "cleared" (opened two hearts per)?

Wait for the harvest, of course :).
You can, in fact, speed up the time when you really have nothing else to do. If you play for the second or the third time, then you might find you've done everything you are being asked for as soon as in the middle of th very first cycle.

You got the overall idea right, the time flows only on the map. You slowly die there (as lympha runs out of your hearts), but get more power at the same time (because the lympha running from you heart flows into your active Palette).
