Post subject:  Anyone around here? How do I get of of jail?
Don't see a lot of activity on this board, but here goes.

I have gone to see the girl that knows where the guy is... sorry forgot names of people.. right at the beginning of the demo, then I went into the diseased zone and got my rep up... Then went back to the girls house and she told me where the other guy is in this warehouse. LOL really bad at names.

Anyway, I see the guy in the warehouse and as I left I got beat up and thrown in jail.

Now I'm sitting in jail and I have no idea how to get out.

Any help appreciated.

The prison door opens just after you hit the patrolman. So you need to get some medicines and weapon (revolver) from the body of the patrolguard just near the door.
You'll get three bullets.

Then shoot in the head of one of the guards outside of the cell (so that you use only one bullet and have two other bullets left). Kill the other guard when he runs inside you cell.


Names are Lara Ravel and Stanislav (Stakh) Rubin. Yeah, doctor's name's spelling is similar to jewel's name. Only the stress is on the first syllable.

I did figure that out finally. Feel a bit like a fool now.

Anyway I have another question about something. I noticed the game made "saves" for me and wonder how that works. It seems the game makes automatic saves, however one of the saves I loaded, wasn't a part I had already played. A bit hard to explain but it was at a part in the game I hadn't played yet with characters I'd never seen. Curious.

Also I can't seem to be able to trade with the children in the game. It seems like the option is greyed out, or I'm doing something wrong.

As I said I really appreciate the replys as the game is a bit more complicated than most for me. However I will definately purchase it when it's released in the US, because it seems to have a very good story which is something most games lack.

These saves were not automatically generated - they were included in the demo from the very beginning, so you can enjoy various aspects of gameplay.

Nope, the option should be available. In order to trade you should talk to the kid and select a correspondent reply in the dialogue. Many people accidently move their character afterwards, which causes them to exit dialogue mode. Might this be your problem?

Must agree with you, it's a tough nut to crack. The best advice I can give is read all the dialogues and think about what the characters have told you - in some cases they are not using just matters of speach, but give you general advice as well as hints on quests.

Would be nice. :) Personally, I think that the game will be available at amazon.com even if it isn't oficially released in the US, but I can't say for sure.

Is there a way to get back your weapons after you kill the guards to escape jail?

EDIT: oh, I managed to stash them before getting arrested :)

Is it possible you don't have anything to trade with these children yet? I've never seen a 'greyed-out' trading option, but I did have trouble trading with some of them in the beginning until I discovered certain children are only interested in certain objects for trading.

Another possibility is if you don't have enough space to hold the new item for which you want to trade. There's a limit on how many items you can hold. That happens a lot with me and medicine, and I sometimes have to find quick ways to get rid of some if the child is offering something i really want, like powder. Trash bins are good receptacles for stashing items for a while if there's no hosted bedside table nearby.
