There is no sounds on every dialogue sentence. Only greeting exclamations. Think how many sound files in the game resources could be if every NPC's answer will be recorded.

Game runs without errors but there is no voice of game character. Conversation of main characters in first scene in hall is fully with voice. But in game there is no voice of anybody during conversation. Person who talk to me says only first sentence (sound from speakers) and then keep in silence. Conversation continue normally but without voice sound. I"m not the first who guessed (because of sound problem) that Pathologic isn't fully with voice sound. I have updated drivers of my GPU, sound card and copy openAL32.dll to Pathologic folder but nothing happened. Could anybody try to help me? Are you using a more than 2.1 speaker setup? Oh yeah, and Pathologic has no voiceovers - only the greeting peices of wisdom were voiced. |

You are right. Thanks. I made a mistake. When I browse game folder data/sound I have found a lot of runable sound files so I assumed that these files are used in conversation by game engine. But now when I listen some of sound files I noticed that content is only numerous greeting exclamations relate to various part of game. Well, now I can continue in this great game without mind that something isn't OK. Good luck in next job for Ice-Pick Lodge developing team. |
