First of all you should tell us the name of your video card, then post here the logs of DXDiag and Pathologic)

My modest little system:
DFI Infinity 975X/G
Intel Core2Duo E6600 2.4GHz
4x OCZ ValuePro PC5400 (5-5-5-15) 1GB, 4GB total
Gainward 7900GT 256MB
ESI Juli@
MIST 600W modular

It runs Vista x64, with 169.25 nvidia drivers, updated audio drivers, sp1 and dx10. Verified stable with memtest86+ and no hard crashes since vista was installed.

I don't have the dxdiag log at the moment, but the pathologic log says this:
Code:
Sun May 11 19:16:56 2008: Log file created
Sun May 11 19:16:56 2008: Build: "Airat" on Mon Sep 19 15:01:56 2005
Sun May 11 19:16:56 2008: First run detected, starting config.exe
Sun May 11 19:19:42 2008: Settings were not saved, exiting...
Sun May 11 19:19:42 2008: Log file closed
Game bought on gamersgate.

I have an idea... Are you using a widescreen monitor? Maybe, the normal resolutions are disabled in drivers. You can add them manually in the nVidia control panel on the Custom resolutions tab. It's important for the game to launch corectly for the first time - after that I'll just tell you how to manually edit the config to match any resolution. :)

I'm using a widescreen monitor, yes. dell 2005wfp 1680x1050.

Normal resolutions are there though, I use them in other games. Haven't got time to mess around more with this today, but I'm suprised that I get this much support so fast :)

How gay :/ The normal resolutions weren't there.

Looks like that's the problem - thanks for the quick support :)

Looks like vlite-included drivers don't add the normal modes :/ Installing recent nvidias helped :D
