Hey guys, started playing Pathologic yesterday, enjoying it very much so far. However, i'm only on the second day. I wish i spent all my money on cheap food on the first day =( Anyway, i'm at the part where you go see the child in the north and he tells you about the silent house which is very close, "just across the yard" i think he said. Now I may be being incredibly stupid, but i can't find it at all. I've gone around all the houses i can see in the close area and tried entering, and can't. Could someone please tell me where it is? I'd really appreciate it. |

Search for the house covered in blood a bit to the south. If I remember correct, it is Isidor's house (you visited it a day before). |

Thanks a lot, damn i avoided Isidor's house on my search because I assumed it wouldnt be that one -_- Hmm i might get a map patch.. not sure if it'd be cheating or not. I don't think it would be if it just labels things right. |

The map is here: http://www.pathologic-game.com/images/city.jpg (or city.zip on the following page: http://www.pathologic-game.com/files.htm) It's not really a patch. I just made a map with some marks, most of which are not spoilers and merely information you can easily get yourself speaking to citizens. The textures in game may be altered, so it was not even a problem to make a file suitable for game; one only needs to save .dds, rename it to .tex and put it in data/Textures/. As far as you know, people on the street do tell you where which part of the town is, and what are the names of these parts. As it is hard to get it all at once, you may look at this map instead. Assuming you don't know Russian it might be even more confusing, so you may try the one in the English walkthrough (http://www.pathologic-game.com/path_walkthrough_eng.pdf ). The quality is pretty bad, but the names of the districts are clearly visible. Upd: found a hi-res version here: download/file.php?id=138&mode=view. Note that due to parts of the town being coloured, this map may cause overdarkened spots on the maps, because in-game disease map will colour this map over with dark gray and red. |

Thanks a lot for the map, but I can't seem to get it to work in the game. Save as .dds rename to .tex and put in data/textures? Did that but it won't seem to work Also, where can I repair my items? |

Factory workers can repair your items. Look for middle-aged dudes wearing a pullover and a cap. On map I warn you once again: it may become unreadable when game makes its own color marks on top of the coloration I made inside the image itself. Fortunately, unless you are playing for Klara (I hope you won't as her texts are unintelligible at best), it's up to you to buy or not to buy "a marked map" from NPC. If you still need my map, make sure you actually saved DDS with a proper graphic editor. It is not common for people to have such an editor, because the format (DirectDraw Sufrace) is used for textures in games - and nothing else. The most obvious choice is GIMP + DDS plugin for GIMP, both available on the net for free. Another way is Photoshop (in case you happen to own this program) and NVIDIA Photoshop Plugins (free). Again, I doubt you used an editor capable of working with DDS, because this format is used mainly for Direct3D-games, and is probably of no use for anyone but game developers. Oh, and gamers who love fiddling with games' content for fun. |
