Beam me up. By the way, I'm assuming that those from the russian speaking forums signed up for this project know english well enough, so why posting in russian at all? But then again assuming makes an ass out of you and me. |

Nah, I just haven't thought of that - maybe we should speak English here all the time. )) On the other hand, there might be some stuff, that only the Russian-speaking users might have a point discussing. Well, we'll see how it works. ) |

Why not to make that process entirely open for everyone, without any formal signup procedures? That should be a good chance of attracting way more people to participate. It might be possible to set up a Wiki page for that, for example. |

С удовольствием поучаствую! Я уже лет пять перевожу комп. игры, правда, с английского на русский, а не наоборот. Однако постараюсь быть максимально полезной. |

Quote: Why not to make that process entirely open for everyone, A wiki page is a bit unproductive, as I see it - we'll get lots of small bits of work done, and then everone loses interest - that's how it will be. Well, anyway the signup procedure is unnecessary - I just wanted to see, who will actually show up.without any formal signup procedures? That should be a good chance of attracting way more people to participate. It might be possible to set up a Wiki page for that, for example. Quote: С удовольствием поучаствую! Я уже лет пять перевожу комп. игры, правда, с английского на русский, а не наоборот. Good! For now - check out the glossary topic - we still need to revise geographical stuff such as street names and all, if I am not mistaken.Однако постараюсь быть максимально полезной. Quote: Я хочу! Я хочу! Я,я,я,я,я! Пасиба. Я хорошо знаю русский и english. Я уже отправил кое-че. Не обижайтесь, но боюсь, что вашего уровня английского не хватит для адекватного перевода, судя по посту в глоссарии...

I speak only English, but I'd be willing to help out in any way I can - perhaps I can assist with proof-reading. |

Woah, looks like I got carried away with my art and almost forgot about this. anyways, I'll help any way I can as well. I'm best suited to translating whole sentences/paragraphs and proof reading. also, I'm moving over to moscow for a while so i might not have as much free time. (normally i'm at the computer 16/7) |

Do we have a list of those involved in the project and what roles they may have? |

Quote: Do we have a list of those involved in the project and what roles they may have? Nope, only the people, that wrote in this thread. I think we should have at least two permanent roles assigned - translation lead and proofchecking lead. Personally, I wouldn't like to get too involved in the project, so I'd take the role of the translation lead only if noone else does. I will serve the role of texts provider for sure, naturally. |

I can be proofchecking lead, but not the translation lead. I am going to be an ass about phrases I dislike, but you will have to live with it and try to convince me. As I said, I don't know how much eye-frowning's going on in the original text. |

As I said, I don't know how much eye-frowning's going on in the original text. That would be even better, if you just agreed on everything. )))))))) OK, so, for the time being - you're the lead of proofreading. ) Think of a way to organize the part of the process, while I figure out, how to rip the dialogues correctly... )

2b is the closest to the truth. )) A gag, as I understand it, is sort of a short joke, usually not THAT hillarious. )) |
