Cleared once, loved it, and thought that I better find a fan translation before playing it again. I am a bit embarrassed because I left a much more detailed introduction in another thread and didn't notice the obvious "introduce yourself here thread." I'll simply summarize here. Name: Bill Age: 39 Sex: Male Country: United States Languages Spoken: English Languages Incompetent In: French, Latin, Spanish. (As a scholar I was forced to read in these languages for translation purposes with a dictionary, but my foreign language skills would make Pathologic's English translation look like Shakespeare.) Relationship to Pathologic: Fan Favourite Games: Since I have been gaming since before most of you were born -- egads -- Dungeons & Dragons, many of the original text adventures such as Zork, Deadline, and others; "Gold Box" D&D adventures, Civilization (particularly 1, 2, and 4; 3 was horrid); Heroes of Might and Magic 1 - 3, and the forerunner game that spawned it, King's Bounty, the Ultima Series (particularly teh original trilogy and 4&5), Missing, Warcraft 2, a mod of Warcraft 3 caleld DOTA (Defenders of teh Ancients), Evil Genius, Majesty, Ghost Master, Arcanum, Baldur's gate 2, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, Oblivion, Fallout, Sam & Max: Freelance Police, Everquest, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, Still Life, Freedom Force 1 & 2. . . amongst others.

Welcome aboard! ) You've come in a good time - the project is about to go back to life, thanks to a nifty online tool WhiteWind has developed, which will allow participants to translate dialogues online in a convenient form with will history stored in case changes are to be rolled back and all - I'm almost done installing it. ) I'm also hoping to get more free time for the translation... |
