Post subject:  Freezing all the time
Okay, so my computer can easily run this game, that I know for sure. However, it keeps stuttering. When I enter Soul Obscura or the menu, the sound and the screen freeze for a second or so. Sometimes when I'm navigating an area, there are some places I look at that cause the game to freeze for a second too.

Anyone knows a cause or a solution for this?

Two questions to see if we can work this out...

1) Stupid question first: do you have anything running in the background that could be slowing things? Music, lots of internet, etc?

2) What OS are you running? I'm not sure how well it works with Windows 7, for example.

I experienced momentary freezes in the 'Sister' locations - when looking in the direction of the Sister (even if she wasn't actually on screen at the time). I know other people have said the same thing... So I'd say that's normal - Unfortunate, yet a minor annoyance.

Actually, I had small pauses when loading the Obscura and menu, too.

But it sounds like, in general, gameplay is fine for you, Vicaris...?

Nothing on the background, windows 7.

Yes, more or less.

It turns out, my graphics card can't really handle The Void. I don't know if it is because my GPU isn't as good as I thought or if Anti-Aliasing in The Void is kinda bugged, though I suspect the latter. I solved my problem by just reducing AA significantly.

However, I just find it weird that the game would have a freeze, which I suspect is perhaps a massive slowdown, just by having AA on and looking at the general direction of an NPC. There just isn't enough on screen going on and the graphics just don't seem THAT good to demand so much from my GPU.

Anyway, I fixed it. Sometimes there are some minor slowdowns but nothing too much.
