hi folks

bought the german version of the game today, installed it on a Vista 64 bit + NVIDIA 260 GT, the PhysX install I had to cancel (popup box saying Text and a grenn bubble), after starting the game, I ended up in a black screen, doing nothing, looks like PC is somewhere in nowhere mode ??? I had to reset it ...

any ideas ?
how can I analyze what's wrong ? must be somehow the settings of the grafic, all settings of the game were set to "lowest settings" for grafic mode, but I should howerver be able to go to task manger or doing ALT +TAB, no ???

but it was dead in total

Hey! :)

Try just pressing Enter if the game crashes and see what happens.

Also, this may be a very common bug with nVidia PhysX - thier installer tends to uninstall PhysX if it's already installed. Try re-installing manually the PhysX that is on the game disk - it's different from what nVidia (if I remember correctly) is offering with drivers and shouldn't interfere.

If nothing helps - in My Documents > My Games > Void find game.log and exception.txt and send them to me - I'll see what I can do! :)

Cheers

To make this clear: PhysX implementation in this game was made a long time ago. It happened BEFORE Ageia was bought by NVIDIA. Hence, a different installer: we rely not on NVIDIA's library to use with cards etc., but on previous software version.

Just to point that the NVidia one works quite well on Vista x64 (not meaning it is supported) :)
