| Post subject: | Quicksave problem and jitteriness |
I finally started playing this thing. So far so good. But I have a major problem. Quicksave doesn't work. I even tried reassigning the function to a different key, but still no luck. Any ideas? Also, the mouse seems to spaz out every once in a while, especially when coming out of menu. I've walked off several cliffs because of this. It's not horrible, but still an annoyance. Can anybody help? Thanks. |

Quicksave only works on the map of the Void. As for the mouse - it's probably because of mouse smoothing - try disabling it and setting a proper sensitivity to compensate. |

The jitteriness isn't due top the mouse. There seem to be severe micorstutters in certain areas. The majority of the game runs smooth as butter, FPS at 60 or above, but in some areas, specifically in the Sisters' chambers, the game freezes for a split second every few seconds, but the mouse movements still register, so my view darts all over the place. I made sure there isn't anything running in the background, but it still happens. Some areas, like Ole's chamber is extremely difficult to navigate because of this. |

I think it only happens when you are looking in the Sister's direction (even if you can't actually see her at the time). I agree that it is slightly annoying. However, once you've visited the chambers and know where the Sisters are located, you can predict when it will happen, so that you don't move your mouse and end up getting disoriented. |

I know this post is kinda old, but I think it's because of the textures. There's a lot of books in Ole's chambers and all the textures in this game are pretty detailed. Try turning down the texture detail and see if it helps. I have the same problem, but it usually doesn't persists more than a couple times when I'm in the chambers. |

Ahhh! I've run into the stuttering too, but only in the two "house-like" chambers. Ole's and Yani's, I believe? I wondered what was going on with it... incidentally, and totally unrelated to the thread: I find those who chambers to be the creepiest of any chambers I've seen so far in the game. |

same here but it seems to happen only once. after I've looked at it and come back to it everything appears to be smooth as if it's caching it or something. I agree on the creepy factor, specially Ole's. the apartment is very well made but it's the foot steps and crashing of pottery that put me on edge for a bit. kept expecting to see pyramid head for some reason. On an even further unrelated note. In the kitchen of Ole's chamber there is a small painting. is that a Dali as it looks very familiar. |
