You know how when you die in The Void, it shows all of the intro logos and movies again before going back to the menu? Why? The cutscene when you die makes it rather clear that you're dead, and this is game over, so just cutting back to the main menu would be fine. Especially when you die in combat instead of starvation; at least in the latter case, the "game restart" kinda flows with the narrative tone of the situation, but otherwise it's rather jarring. Love the game otherwise, by the way, it's just that dying sucks. More than it should, I mean. |
