When will we see a new game from Ice Pick Lodge? Is there any info you can share, such as release date or story? Will it be as insane as Pathologic and The Void?

Probably, I'm not the only one curious about it. I just loved Pathologic and The Void.

There's "Cargo!" "...an absurd comedy with musical numbers and dancing in the atmosphere of a mad carnival!..."

 WOW!

That's definitely not what I expected, but I can't deny how exciting this sounds! Pathologic and The Void were both very sombre, so it will be most interesting to see Ice-Pick Lodge take on something more (seemingly?) light-hearted, while remaining thought-provoking and revolutionary.

I mean, musical numbers and dancing? With actual singing going on? That's something I haven't seen in a video game yet, but if anyone could pull it off well, it's you guys! :D But it raises so many questions! I wonder how a Mushroomer musical will sound like? If there's going to be singing, will there still be Russian and English versions? I imagine songs will make for a substantially more complex localization... And will we see an Anna Angel/Triumphator duo? :P

What will the gameplay look like? Will there still be some resource management - trying to keep things from floating away by giving them FUN? But will it still be a struggle like with The Void, or maybe more, ahaha, fun this time? :P

Now I really need to get a new PC before the end of 2010... Can't wait to see more info and art!

That pretty much says everything. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm not gonna jump to conclusions right away.

First time I played Pathologic I though "WTF is this?". And now is my favourite game ever.

When are we going to see some screenshots or videos?

Well this sounds like that game is the best first step towards its own goal.

I just came here looking for more info on Cargo! after reading about it on rockpapershotgun. I have to say, I don't know what to think of it as of now, though being an Ice-pick game, maybe that's a good sign :)

Downright odd - Of course, I wouldn't expect anything else from IPL. ;)

I like the bent of fun adding weight to the world (rather than lightening it). Unfortunately, I can't stand 3rd person perspectives.
Should still be interesting to study though (even if I won't be playing it properly). Of course, I wish IPL the best of luck with this project.

I wonder if the title is a reference to the so-called cargo cults?

Now I get to be information hungry :( *hint*

On the plus side though we get a new way to have oddly induced headaches and to jabber about more Ice Pick brilliance :D

Tomorrow on pcgames.de at 2pm (UTC+1) there will be a preview of Cargo.

Is it this Cargo? That would be fantastic.
I hope to get some new information then. :)

Edit:
Here it is:
http://www.pcgames.de/Cargo-PC-235679/N ... er-768862/

"Bitcomposer shows the new, completely crazy game of the "The Void" makers."

I think there's nothing really new, if you have read the article on twitchy.co.uk above.
The heroine is called Flox.
You can get the things that float in the air (like an iceberg, the Statue of Liberty, vehicles) down with the help of FUN.
Whereas twitchy.co.uk says that the world begins to drift apart on its own because of humans egoism, pcgames.de says that god did this (as a punishment).

You can get FUN by, for example, kicking the Brats' butts or by pulling them with a vehicle.
