I've gotten to the part right after the boxes sink while you were trying to get them in your raft and I just bought the boat, adding a few things; but every time I get done with it, the game freezes, and I'm forced to shut it down with CTR-ALT-DELETE. As far as I can tell, this isn't isn't happening to everyone else, so it may just be a local thing. I'm having this exact same problem. Right at the point at which you're set loose to build a boat fast enough to reach the jet turbine, as soon as I click exit on the build screen, it switches back to the game world briefly and then I'm sent right back to the build screen. At this point the game freezes. I can also hear music like I'm back in the game world if that makes any difference. I'll attach my game log, but I can't attach a save. Apparently the forum doesn't like the .SAV extension, lol. It looks like the OP is also using Win 7 64-bit like me. Could be an issue with that. Happened to me too when I first played the game. Make sure the boat is on water and you are not controlling it when building. |

@sdgf: Yeah it told me to scrap my starter boat for cash so I did that. Which means no boat in the water and no boat to control. I tried building the new one right on the shore and I froze, so I figured maybe it wanted me to build it in the water. Swam out a bit and built it again, but still ended up freezing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and not realizing it. If you build a vehicle completely from scratch will it just appear in front of you when you're done? Or do I need to throw a base chassis out there and then build on that? @Айрат: Sure thing, I'll mail that to you. |

Temporal workaround, at least for me, is the motorboat blueprint design instead of my own. All who is suffering from this bug, should give it a try. |

Can you please tell me exact sequence how to repeat the bug from your save? @Айрат: Sure thing, I'll mail that to you. I enter build mode, build boat manually and... nothing happens, pressing exit and everything works. I've built the boat from blueprint, pressed exit and... everything works |

thanx for saves. problem is located. it only occurs in this only quest. fix will be uploaded to steam tonight. unfortunatelly fix will not affect saves i.e. problem will remain if loaded from old save. So you either need to start new game, or continue with current game, but build boat from blueprint. |

Woo! Thanks Айрат! Glad to hear it's fixed. It sounds like what you were trying from my save should have generated the bug. Regardless of what I built, pressing exit would just freeze everything up. The fact that it didn't happen for you makes it sound like it might have been an issue with my OS. Do you use Win 7 64-bit? And what was the bug exactly? I'm just curious, lol. But yeah I don't mind starting over as long as I can play now. I was only about 20 minutes in. |
