Looking at the map, I always figured it was supported by the spike protruding down into the ground. The actual in-game model though, has the spike resting in mid-air while the stairs support the structure. Did I miss something?

I was actually wondering this myself, it seems like such an odd thing to have the spike so clearly digging deep into the ground when viewed on the map and yet having the spike clearly suspended above the ground when viewed in game and in one of the ending videos.

Nevertheless Pathologic is a fantastic experience as well as The Void, and you can bet that I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what you guys can do with Cargo!

Agreed. Love the game, it's atmosphere, story and everything... but this detail had me a bit confused.

I believe the platform the stairs connect to is the spike. That's where the blood appears.

Another weird thing about the Polyhedron: I remember Klara(?) said at some point that she doesn't get why everyone says the Polyhedron is made of glass and mirrors, when it's obviously paper. Isn't it a weird thing for her to say? The Polyhedron you can climb into does have a paper texture but it's also transparent if you look closely. The *other* Polyhedron though is obviously made of glass (and by the way, its spike is more obvious). I don't know if this is relevant in some way, or it's just the game joking about itself (like it happens when Burakh hears that some thieves escaped climbing fences and pipes and he replies "I can't climb fences...")

I could be wrong, but I don't recall that Klara ever gains access to the Polyhedron. Most of the Utopians despise her, so it makes sense that she wouldn't know the inside.

One of the fun things to do is to see how high you can get.

On the issue of ambiguities I think:
Glass is equivalent to something ineffable
something ineffable is equivalent to paper
Problem solved through analogy.

It is like working with imaginary numbers.
