Well, maybe you're gonna stone me to death, I know you are just a little studio. But how about a remake of Pathologic with a better translation in a few years, if you have enough money? I still think pathologic is your best work and it is a shame, that just a few people know about this game or just don't understand what the NPCs are saying. I know, there is a translation project, but what if it never will be finished? Pathologic has an awesome story and I think there should be much more people who play this game. You even don't have to make great graphics, I liked the graphics of pathologic. It's just all because of the translation.

Just an idea, hope you'll forgive me for such a sacrilege :P

If this were to go ahead and get a physical release count me in for a pre-order.

It just needs a patch, not a proper remake.

I swear, every thread all over the internet that mentions Ice-Pick Lodge also has someone saying they'll wait for the translation to be fixed before trying out Pathologic.

It has to happen, somehow, but I can understand IPL not having the resources to do it. It is an old game now so priority ends up elsewhere.

The translation issue is a sticky one, I enjoyed playing through Pathologic with it existing translation, it gave an esoteric feel to things, sure it could be advantageous if it were clearer but it would be a shame to see that perhaps inadvertant style lost.

It would be nice to see what is a special and unique title receive an overhaul though with more detail that would be afforded by the greater running power we now have. Perhaps there are things that Ice-Pick may wish to explore or different methods they'd like to implement?

I'd certainly not be disapointed if Pathologic were remade/updated.

Like Hicks, I'm one of the people who enjoyed the game not in spite of the translation, but sometimes because of it :) I'm going to be a professional translator next year, and I swear I'd single-handedly retranslate Pathologic for free, if only I had the right language combination for that. Unfortunately, I don't. I wonder why the volunteer project didn't work out - does anyone have info on that? The LxR, maybe?

Just a guess but I'd take a shot that it were the size of the task, being a volunteer effort and a specialised one at that it would be difficult under the best circumstances.

Good luck with the future plans and career! :D

I was thinking, actually, that this is the only game that I would read a novelisation of.

That would be so good. I'd happily read it, even if it was 1000 pages :)

I think it would make a great Lynch film. He would probably give the tone just the right balance of surreal mystery, frank representations of violence and pestilence, intrigue and arthouse.

Would love to see a remake, or just a spiritual successor.
