I only have the demo of Pathologic so far, but, I have to say, this game is
sucking me in big time. :D

I just love atmospherics in games, and this is the most atmospheric game
I have ever played.

I will definitely buy this game.

I am a big fan of the Thief series of games.
Pathologic is a different game to Thief, but, it has a similar atmosphere.
I think Thief fans will like this game.
I must tell them about it.

Thanks Ice- Pick Lodge. :D

Yes it's atmosphere is really impressive. But I got a little disappointed when I learned that we're not really "free" at all, everyday we have to complete some tasks so there is always time limit, there is rush. I wish I could freely enjoy the game without worrying to hurry.

By the way, while I was walking around in the night, some guys started to attack a women in the street. As a gentleman I punished them

But I couldn't understand why they attacked. Any explanations?

They attacked just because they are common criminals, by common i mean common to the wretched cities populous, typical bandits, theives, murderers, you name it, they are pretty much all at the same time, there isn't much room for provocation because they usually attack the first person they see.

But it usually helps when they do attack someone else, because you can simply run up to them while they are attacking and gain good reputation, cash and a few items.....easy pickings.

I find that having daily objectives helps provide structure to the game, I like them. Without them I'd wander aimlessly and probably get into trouble.

Men will also attack women in the streets due to the mindless fear about the 'clay cannibaless' - A witch thought to be responsible for causing the disease.

Fear and the mob mentality create some ugly scenes.

Also, if you visit the Wasteland of the bone pole in the morning of the first day of the Bachelor scenario - you will encounter a lynching of a woman. (And a revolver and some ammo on the corpses of guards near it).

Yep, I was quite shocked by that scene! But the revolver was put to good use, killing several muggers over the first few nights of the game.

Gets even better, when you do headshots ) One revolver bullet costs you appr 255 coins on most days, and the bandits leave a knife worth 300-500 coins plus money. ) Very nice business, I must say.

Alternatively, one bullet from a street urchin costs one sewing needle... which costs about 25 coins in a shop :)
