Well, I guess its early to talk about that right now - I want to see more responces first. I think we'll start by making a term glossary based on the one I already have and the text, which was actually done right mostly (the first four days of the Bachelor scenario and some part from Haruspex - not sure exactly, which ones, but will look into it...

Hehe, I don't know any russian either, although my parents are polish. Ale chyba nierozumiecie mie jak pisze po polsku? Either way I wouldn't understand russian, so. :P But I'm happy to help out if I can. Chapter per person has its imperfections as from an artistic point of view there may be inconsistancy between the different translations. Words that in russian are repeated through the chapters may be replaced with two or more english words, one of the words in some chapters and the other one when a different translator is working. But as you said, it's probably too early to talk about that. For now I can only say that I'm interested.

Just out of curiosity, why was the name of the game changed from Utopia to Pathologic? I like the fact that I can interpret the english name in more than one way due to it having both "path" and "logic" inside it (or perhaps I'm just over analyzing the meta-aspect of it), but at the same time it strikes me as weird, changing the name.

Well, the tittle was changed in order to keep the game of words in it - in Russian the game is called "Mor. Utopia" (translated as Pestelience the Utopia) which is an obvius reference to Thomas More and his book. )) In English the game of words revolves around "path of logic". You've guessed right. )
You know, Turgor, our next game, was also retittled to Tension. )

How is the russian title a reference to More? I know that More termed the term Utopia, even although Plato almost 2000 years earlier wrote about Atlantis, the city which doesn't/cannot exist, but I don't know what about the title is a reference.

What does turgor mean then, not tension?

The internal pressure inside body cells, that keeps them from collapsing. ) Well, not exacltly a reference - a game of words, so to say - Pestilience is More in Russian. Sounds exactly the same. )

There was a question, and you quoted me LeoS, but I'm not sure I understand! Pathos would be the one used in rhetoric, but it seems I mistook pathos for thanatos, namely the drive to destroy and die, as opposed to eros, so that was the association I had. I think Freud talked about that one. But it makes sense to discuss it, as I think that Pathologic has very poetic and intriguing story telling and thus relies much on emotions. I believe movies are suited for this kind of experience due to its short nature for example, but I'm not so sure what to think about Pathologic and similar games, due to the sheer amount of text in it.

Lxr: Ok, I didn't realize it was More, I thought it looked more like Mop from my latin alfabet point of view. :P

Here, I meant Pathos, as - "compassion, sorrow".
More cautiously with Freud, it all simplifies.
