Such fusion is hardly possible. We all love our motherland too much to forsake it for $.

He was just talking about foreign investors, and tehnically, foreign budgets are an income and a good thing for Motherland. ;)

I was actually busting out a pretty lame joke.

Anyhow, it's obvious that this is a low-budget game (by conventional standards) developed with lots of heart. There's just something captivating about it despite the caveman AI and the flawed combat system, because I'm still playing it and loving it. When I talked about remaking it, I meant it with respect. It doesn't need to be EA or Bethesda or some other big company doing it. It could be the original developers. There's a lot of potential in Pathologic to be a huge hit if it's polished up. I think a game like that deserves a much wider release.

I agree totally. Though even without a remake, the thing about Pathologic is that people are still finding out about it, and still loving it. I've come across a few random blogs and forum posts recently where people have been saying things like "Has anyone heard of Pathologic? It's my favorite game of all time. You should all play it."

It's great that it's on GamersGate, but I'd love to see it on Good Old Games (admittedly, it's not that old, but nevermind )

When I say it has the potential to be a huge hit, I don't mean one or two people finding out about it every few days. I mean Bioshock or Half-Life big. If it were more polished, I could see a company like Take-Two taking a chance on it and marketing it, making it known to a wide audience. I think Pathologic is a marvelous specimen of the adventure genre, which has been stagnant and uninspired for a very long time. I also think it's the greatest survival horror I've ever played. A perfect hybrid with a few crippling flaws preventing it from being picked up by big investors. Incredible art design, incredible atmosphere, incredible music. What a shame that IPL doesn't plan to work on it any more. I hope Tension doesn't suffer from the same problems.

Never say never ~_^.

To think that a Russian game can spar with Half Life or Bioshock. Honestly, you flatter us.. or maybe you do not. Who knows?

I liked Bioshock, but I wasn't that big on HL2. That whole game was almost all about the grav gun.

I meant that Pathologic could be as big as these two games. They're not similar in any way, aside from all three games having a great atmosphere.

Unfortunately that link doesn't work for me. I guess I didn't sign up for Good Old Games early enough. But I'm excited by the connection... Are GOG going to be/thinking about releasing Pathologic on their site? That would be awesome!
Just a heads up, GoG has entered public beta ;)
