Hi,

I played the German version of The Void and I'm now at the end. The problem is, whichever girl I choose, the ending always is very short and not satisfying at all. I read here that there is a way to get out with the girl together, but I'm unable to piece it together. I read something about a "bridge" and "exit chamber" but I can't find any of this.

Could you make a detailed list of possible endings and how to achive them, so that I can try and see them all? I feel a little bit let down after the 2 minute ending for such a intense game.

Hi. )

In the German version you can't escape with a girl, these endings are available:
— You fail to reach Turgor in time of kill all the Brothers to become the last guardian of the Void. (Your body floating through the Void outro).
— You manage to collect enough Lympha for a breakthrough and escape alone. (You fly out in the Adit, then the Void diappears, you see the surface again.)
— You save a girl.

The shortness of the final cutscenes is one of the main factors we are blamed for, but there's a reason behind it — the endings are all told in the very beginning. You know the truth from the very start - you're fighting for your soul. That's the point of catharsis. Surely, the endings could look better, but with an 8-man team, there isn't much you can do, sorry. :(

Hi!

Thank you for the answer. It's good to know that I didn't overlook something :) The game looks really great so don't worry about the ending. I'm just a sucker for a sappy ending, so I'm out of luck it seems. ;)

Well, glad to hear that! :)

If you're looking for a very impressive ending, try our first game - Pathologic. They say the German translation is a lot better than the English one, so you're in luck! It shouldn't be that hard to find and shouldn't cost much. :)

You mentioned three different endings above, but on the DVD-Case there stands something about 13 different endings. I haven't got to the end so far. Have big trouble with killing the worm in eli's realm. Any hints?

Well, in a way, each sister has a different ending ;)

As for the worm, assuming it has stayed the same; best way I found to deal with it was to put myself on the Y fork on the left side of the chamber upon entry, sidestepping the worm when it comes through one of the branches of the tunnel and if it eats a creature on one of the those branches, hit it with all you got while she is standing still.

Well, technically, the game has 13 endings, but 11 of them can be grouped into one - the endings are: the player leaves alone, the player helps a sister escape, the player becomes the last keeper of the Void. In the original, there was a possibility to escape together with a sister.

The Worm has quite a lot of hitpoints, but there's a lot of time to kill him, so I'd rather recommend building a war potential for the future Brother encounters on day 23. The leftovers (which you will inevitably have) can be used to net the Shatuns (round potato monsters) with the current double damage color on the wheel. You can actually net only the first Shatun that's always there with 40 drops of lympha in the net. Then blast the worm when it comes out to devour it and add some more damage by the Sleeper of Sentinel.

@Thordax: the worm acts differently from the original. ;) And doesn't hang. :)

It's sad that you can't save a sister AND yourself. But iam not a friend of happy endings anyway °v° (But why have they changed so much for the german version?) Language would have been enough.

So i should wait for the brothers bevore killing the last worm? I am a bit scared, i never won a fight against a brother. Except the drillguy (that's how i call him^^). I almost finished him. It was so close XD.

Overall tactics against the worm is 'net' with lots of lympha used (especially the right colour). Is it really different to the original version? It crawls fast through the branches and kills everything in its way. Sometimes it stands still for about 10 seconds or so. What's the sleeper of sentinel? I found a heart in worms chamber by the way ;) Magnet! 16 hearts now! Turgor, i'am on my way hehe

In the original the Worm was veeeeery buggy and acted unintelligibly — in the German version there are at least two tactics to beating him. Also, we'll lower his HP in the patch. I'd advise you forget about him, as Montgolfiere will reward you with a quite useless organ - the Wasp - which you probably have, and there's no penalty for failing this task. I'd recommend, you go around chambers of the 4 sisters and find as many hearts as possible - the last 4 hearts will be the "power organs", that are very useful. You can boost yourself up to 19 or even 20 hearts, and will have a lot of HP for battle. Brothers will start attacking at cycle 23 or so. Have a lot of active lympha at hand and in Memory - you'll need ammo and HP. Start actively growing it.

Also, it may not be very clear, but to reach Turgor you'll need to fill your active Palette. (Won't need this tip until cycle 30, but collecting color beforehand will save you a lot of nerve.

I already have the "wasp" glyph.
Therefor i will leave the worm and prepare for serious battle instead ;)
Thought i could prevent the brothers from attacking when i finish this quest. I'm already at Cycle 22. That frees me from the wormproblem but i've another issue.

There is a heart behind the hedge in a sisters chamber (arw forgot her name again, in her corpus she is sitting on a small tree. Her chamber looks like a scene from the movie "the shell/cell?" with jennifer lopez^^ The small ponds/pools and the red curtains lying around. U surely know who i mean. Well, i can see the heart glowing behind that hedge but i simply can't reach it. Tried to jump over it from higher ground, used some glyphs but nothing helps.

I thought i just need 21 filled hearts to reach turgor? hehe no easy go it seems ;)

The hearts won't be a problem - you'll get one for each Brother you kill. :)

The glyph behind the henge can be reached by jumping from one of the booths — it's sort of a secret Heart. ;)

oh I got that heart. You need to put some blue into one of your hearts and go to one of the higher seats. You should be able to jump to the heart at 50 drops of blue in your heart.

Guys, you can simply walk over to it. a little jumping, a little seeking.

The physics engine alows you to go nearly everywhere with this jumping tactic. As long as it is leaning away from you, you can climb it.

I almost got on the crows head in Bastion. :mrgreen:
And yes, i jumped my way over the green tunnel in Ires obscura to get the heart - just a few minutes ago.

From what I read elsewhere on here, essentially the "both" ending was sister end, followed by escape end.
